Meet our staff!
Vintage Plaza Veterinary hospital was opened in 2006 in the Vintage Plaza Shopping Center to offer high quality veterinary care to Excelsior Springs and the surrounding community. In 2010 we relocated to our current larger free standing location on Jesse James Rd.
Dr. Clint Watkins
Dr. Clint Watkins was born in southern California and moved around a lot as a child. The family moved to the Excelsior Springs area when he was ten years old. He played football and ran track at Excelsior Springs High School which he graduated from in 1994. He married his wife Elena in 1997 and attended Missouri State University for his undergraduate work. In 2001 he was accepted into the veterinary program at the University of Missouri in Columbia which he graduated from in 2005. After working for almost 2 years at Gladstone Animal Clinic he opened Vintage Plaza Veterinary Hospital in his hometown of Excelsior Springs. He has four children, Samantha, Gabriel, Elijah, and Scarlett. He currently has a German Shepherd named Steve. When not in the office he enjoys working on classic cars, martial arts, and spending time with his family.
Meet Jessika,
Jessika has been with us since 2022. She graduated from the Maple Woods Veterinary Technology program in 2020. Since then, Jessika has worked in both GP and ER facilities. Her and her husband moved to Excelsior Springs with their two young children a couple years ago to dabble in the farm life. She has dogs, cats, and a small pig farm.
Meet Zoe,
Zoe is our passionate Office Manager. She has been apart of our team since 2021. She loves rescuing animals and nurturing them back to health. Zoe has ferrets, guinea pigs, cats, and dogs. In her free time she enjoys cooking, volunteering at her church, and spending time with her husband and zoo.
Meet Laney,
Laney is one of our awesome assistants. Her love for animals goes as far back as she can remember. She has always had animals around, from dogs, cats, and even horses. She currently has two pitbulls, a golden retriever, and a crazy cat Stoney. Laney recently added a baby boy to her little family.
Meet Bre,
Bre has been working for the clinic off and on since 2022. She was born and raised in Lathrop and is currently taking classes at MCC to achieve her science degree. She loves the outdoors and has played softball since she was 3 years old. Bre has one dog named Colter.
Lindsay Taber, Assistant
Lindsay is one of our Veterinary Assistants. She joined the team in November of 2023. She has always had a passion for animals. Currently she has 4 dogs and 1 cat. Lindsay just welcomed a baby girl into her family. In the futures she plans to attend Maple Woods Veterinary Technology Program.
