Vintage Plaza Veterinary hospital was opened in 2006 in the Vintage Plaza Shopping Center to offer high quality veterinary care to Excelsior Springs and the surrounding community. In 2010 we relocated to our current larger free standing location on Jesse James Rd.

 

Dr. Clint Watkins

Dr. Clint Watkins was born in southern California and moved around a lot as a child. The family moved to the Excelsior Springs area when he was ten years old. He played football and ran track at Excelsior Springs High School which he graduated from in 1994. He married his wife Elena in 1997 and attended Missouri State University for his undergraduate work. In 2001 he was accepted into the veterinary program at the University of Missouri in Columbia which he graduated from in 2005. After working for almost 2 years at Gladstone Animal Clinic he opened Vintage Plaza Veterinary Hospital in his home town of Excelsior Springs. He has three children, Samantha, Gabriel, and Elijah. He currently has a German Shepherd named Steve. When not in the office he enjoys working on classic cars, martial arts, and spending time with his family.

Rachael Sarna, RVT

Rachael is a 2006 graduate of the Maple Woods Veterinary Technology program. She is the heart and soul of our clinic and has a great love for our clients and their pets. She is married to Nick Sarna and has three daughters, Haleigh, Hannah, and Amelia. She has three dogs, 3 cats, and one bunny. She helps with the Helping Hands Cat Rescue by fostering kittens.

Desiree Kush, RVT

Desiree is a 2017 graduate of the Maple Woods Veterinary Technician program. She lives in Holt, MO

with her husband Adam and her two cats Sydney and Dexter. Desiree is super creative and likes to upcycle and craft in her spare time.

Hayley Buss, RVT

Hayley is a 2014 graduate of the Maple Woods Veterinary Techinician program. She has a special love for neglected and abused animals and lives in Kansas City with her husband, three boys and dog Stella.
